A Cabin in Sumatra

This is probably the most idyllic and relaxation-inducing places in Indonesia. Lake Sumatra is too far off the beaten track to attract the flocks that head to Bali.  The high 800-meter altitude here makes the air cool, unlike the hot climate at low elevations elsewhere in Sumatra. This cabin is located in the midst of Sumatra’s dense jungle.

Sumatra is thick with virgin rainforest and jungle-covered hills. The great island is also known for its terraced rice fields, mountain rivers, beautiful waterfalls, volcanic lakes and peaceful white beaches.
