An Ancient Stone Tomb in Sumatra

Samosir Island in the middle of Lake Toba has many sites of 400-year old tombs made of Neolithic stone. On the stone sarcophagus, there are usually some carvings of masks, which are tools for warding off evil spirits.

The grave of a sarcophagus was used for one or more people; and it was learned that the persons buried in sarcophagus were family related.
